The effects of (E)-4-hydroxy-3-methyl-but-2-enyl pyrophosphate (HMBPP), an isoprenoid precursor produced by Plasmodium falciparum on blood meal seeking and feeding behaviour of Anopheles gambiae. Mosquitoes were blood fed with and without HMBPP and expression quantified at 1h, 3h, 6h and 24h post treatment.
Response of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes to Zika Virus infection at 2, 7 and 14 days post-infection.
Mechanisms of resistance in Cimex lectularius, comparing the pyrethroid-resistant Richmond strain to the susceptible Harlan strain.
Biomphalaria glabrata with allelic variants correlated with resistance and susceptibility to Schistosoma mansoni.
A study of genetic variations associated with permethrin resistance in Anopheles coluzzii. Cyp-1 resistant and susceptible Mopti mosquitoes were exposed to a sub-lethal dose of permethrin or an acetone control, the malpighian tubules were then extracted 4 hours post-exposure for sequencing.
Dehydrated Culex pipiens mosquitoes were compared to fully hydrated to observe changes in activity and blood feeding.
Glossina palpalis infected and uninfected with Trypanosoma brucei gambiense.
gambiae_isaacs2018_29587635_E-MTAB-6280 Anopheles gambiae
Aedes aegypti infected with the Zika virus (ZIKV) or the Dengue virus (DENV2) to study molecular responses to infection.
Aedes aegypti mosquitoes infected with the wild-type isolates of either DENV1 (KDH0030A) or DENV3 (GabonMDA2010) to study endogenous viral elements.
Aedes aegypti mosquitoes were infected or uninfected with the Dengue virus 1 through blood meals, midguts extracted 24 and 96 hours post infection to investigate candidate host factors modulating DENV replication.
Ixodes ricinus ticks were fed on rabbit or artificial membrane to investigate sialome switching. Reads were mapped and annotated against Ixoodes scapularis due to assembly and annotation availability.
Biomphalaria glabrata exposed to varying sublethal doses of Niclosamide, the active ingredient in Molluscicide Bayluscide. Snails were exposed to 0.15 mg/L, 0.10 mg/L or 0.05 mg/L for 24 hours, control snails were unexposed to Niclosamide.
