DescriptionGene expression differences between permethrin resistant Anopheles funestus mosquitoes from Mozambique and Malawi that have been exposed to permethrin ("permethrin-selected"), mosquitoes unexposed to permethrin ("control") and a susceptible laboratory strain (FANG,"insecticide-susceptible") were measured using a 4x44k Agilent chip, which features Anopheles funestus ESTs and all transcripts of Anopheles gambiae. However, only the probes designed using "native" Anopheles funestus sequences are used in VectorBase's analysis.

LSTM An. funestus 44k native only 4x44k agilent chip designed using 60mer probes generated from 8540 ESTs generated from An. funestus transcriptome 454 sequencing (2 probes for each EST), a set of 2850 An. funestus cDNA from Genbank (2 probes for each EST), a set of P450 genes from the rp1 and rp2 QTL BAC sequence (3 probes for each gene). The physical array includes probes designed for 13,000 transcripts of the An. gambiae genome but these are not considered in VectorBase at present. ArrayExpress: A-MEXP-2245
