Sequenced genomes available in VectorBase

  • There is one strain sequenced for each one of the six Glossina species available, but only the one from G. morsitans has been published (International Glossina Genome Initiative 2014).
  • There is one strain per genome sequenced of Musca domestica (Scott et al. 2014) and Stomoxys calcitrans (genome paper currently being written)

Other data types available in VectorBase

  • G. morsitans has three experiments showing differential expression and G. palpalis has one. G. morsitans, G. austeni, G. breviplapis, G. fuscipes,, G. pallidipes and G. palpalis have transcriptomes.
  • Musca domestica has two experiments showing transcripts under differential expression and four transcriptomes.
  • Stomoxys calcitrans has three transcriptomes.
